Cleaning up the airwaves??? (click here for fun and a good cause)

After several years of political apathy (disgust) and ignoring news broadcasts both local and national I've been giving more attention to what's going on in the world, mostly because of the magnitude of life changing events of the past three years and the fact that this is an election year which is garnering more attention than your average presidential contest. It's also much easier to follow newsworthy events when you can get updates all day long on your internet homepage. I still all but refuse to watch the drivel of local "news" but last night while taking in Dan Rather a segment called "cleaning up the airwaves" caught my attention. It seems Dale Earnhardt Jr's utterance of the word "shit" during his post victory celebration has again stirred up the morality police still ever vigilant in the post Janet Jackson oh my God a bare breast (though nipple covered) era. One bare breast and the word shit? All this time, attention, rise of nazi like censorship, moral preaching..............for one bare breast and one shit? You gotta be kiddin. All that todays youth has been exposed to and this is of major concern? Do you think any of these kids have NOT been exposed to seeing airliners crash into the WTC? You don't suppose they ever catch any film clips of war carnage on the nightly news do ya? Hopefully none were exposed to the lies and half truths as presented during last nights VP debate (see apathy and disgust above). Explicit lyrics in the music they listen to? Skin or language in the movies they see? Gee, do ya think they've picked up on "car bomb", or "suicide bomber" as terms that pop up on a daily basis? I'm thinkin that any kid who happens to be watching NASCAR just might hear the word shit fairly regularly. We gotta make sure they don't catch a glimpse of something as lovely and nourishing and lifegiving as a female mammary though......especially so close to breast cancer awareness week. Imagine the consequences. Ima spend all day on the above link looking at breasts and mumblin shit over and over.
