Won't you please come to Chicago.............

One more day. No soapbox here, you either are going to vote one way or another or not at all and it's not my inclination nor my job to comment, cajole, encourage or discourage you. Go ye forth and exercise your option to have a voice or to be silent. I have been silent through many of these, but not this time. If for nothing else, I'm casting my vote because my son can't; he is well informed, opinionated, partisan, and he told his mom I'm going to cancel out her vote. That thought alone puts this wicked little grin on my mug.

War, terror, health care, oil prices, to tax or not to tax..............all aside, as a staunch (ok borderline radical with monkeywrenching potential) environmentalist there is only one choice for me. That cause to me is second only to the safety and well being of my family. It's the only earth we have and it is being destroyed at an alarming rate. It has to stop.

Plus, my son goes to Iraq over my dead fucking body. We need to bring them all home, sooner the better. I've seen this nightmare before. No one seems to have a plan for that. I think each member of the Cabinet (including the pres and vp), Congress, and the Senate should volunteer their sons and daughters for this most worthy mission, crucial to our way of life (I know that's true, they all say it over and over) and ship their rich well protected asses off to Iraq A fucking SAP. What a show of belief in the fight that would be!

Me and da boy will be glued to the TV tomorrow night. I haven't seen the nation this divided in 30 years. This is history, it wouldn't hurt to participate.
