Desert Solataire by Edward Abbey. First book I read after I saw the desert for the first time. Bought it in Moab, Utah and have read and re-read all of Abbey in the seven years since. He writes like I think and makes me wish I could write like he thinks.

The Abstract Wild by Jack Turner. The quintessential definition of wilderness. It will surprise you and wrack you with guilt. It demands you leave it the fuck alone.
