Winding, Crooked Trails

Shared Expressions and Musings with a Connection to the Origin of Things and a Surly Hatred of Progress and Development along with a Churlish Resistance to all Popular Improvements (except for HDTV and Dolby 5:1 surround sound and maybe Books on CD) (thanks Ed)

some blogservations

  • the least interesting blogs are written by happily married women (especially with children)
  • those almost never contain sexual content of any kind
  • the most interesting and entertaining blogs are written by single women
  • the saddest are those written by unhappily married women
  • a high percentage of female bloggers obsess about their weight and the food they eat
  • women are far more painfully honest about their insecurities, fears, feelings of inadequacy than men
  • women are far more secure about their strengths than men
  • teenage girl blogs are either terrific or awful
  • Bloggers tend to be more associated with the arts, fashion, and the literary world than the masses in general - hardly a surprise there
  • some of the writing is incredible........as good as, better than in some cases, most of the crap being pumped out by the "best sellers" these days
  • I tend to immediately, and I mean immediately, leave a blog that is overtly religious in the traditional sense or advocates the re-election of george bush. Hey, that's just me.
  • I smile when I see that a favorite blog has a new post
  • I add a couple of favorites a day
  • I'm more selective and discerning about who I add as my list grows
  • I need to learn how to be more creative with all the add ons..........I dunno how to do any of that stuff
