Hi, I'm Edge and I'm single
as are many of you, and many more of you are married, others with a significant other whether it be under the same roof or not.
I stumbled upon something and my first reaction was to be vindictive but I'm not going to do that. I'm speaking in a calm modulated tone. Here is what I don't understand. There must be thousands of blogs out there, there are, millions maybe. If one stumbles upon something unsavory or simply not to ones taste, wouldn't the simple thing to do be to click it away? Shake of the head, heavy sigh, but move on. I know I have done that.
You found someone you don't like? And with whom you disagree? Huh. Who woulda thunk it.
But to spend days and post after post criticizing, degrading, judging? Why?
You have no right to make moral judgement on these people, their likes, dislikes, loves, ways and means. No one does. You can paint some morally superior canvass but it's no closer to reality than what you purport to judge. You with the support of your following set the standards for what is acceptable and what is not, within or out of the bounds of marriage or love? Thanks for offering but no. Life is far too complicated for simplistic rules. If we want moral guidance or even redemption, we will seek it.
Set your own standards, thats perfectly fine, tsk tsk and shame, shame on us, leave a critical comment, that's fine too, we often criticize ourselves so don't need much help but thanks again for offering to set us straight.
A lot of people would have had a better week were it not for your campaign. He flirts with me too and I'm straight as a Kansas highway but am flattered, not offended.
Please just call us a name or two and move on. Again, I'm very much in control of my emotions here and I assure you we won't respond in kind. We're not like that and we're pretty busy living and loving and working and raising kids and maintaining relationships or looking for them and being with each other and we would appreciate if you would just for lack of a better term, go away? I for one am offended but I'm being very reasonable here and I thank you in advance for leaving us alone and I would hope this is the end of this. It's only fair to make you aware that I do have a somewhat dark not so nice side should the issue escalate. Just sayin'. Have a nice day out there away from us.
