You say it's your birthday

My assignment today, and I accepted it immediately, is to be with the perfect grand daughter while her sister is born. My acceptance of this delightful task rids my daughter of having to suffer the consequences of either her mother or mother-in-law not being at the hospital when their grand daughter is born. I think that is more important to them than it is to me. I was there two and a half years ago and I saw too much of the pain my girl had to endure. I don't like that at all. This way, by the time I get there, pink receiving blankets will abound and my daughter will be all radiant with tired ear to ear smiles.

And this way I can always tell Alexandria that I spent this special day with her, like I did with daughter number one when daughter number two was born; even though I was there when she was born babysitting options were limited so upon introducing myself and assurances that all was well I was off to pick up number one from her grandmothers. We spent the day at a park, a beautiful August day, and I took photographs of her.

And now it's number two having her own number two and I have to rename her number one because perfect grand daughter just won't work anymore unless I can get perfection into her sisters nickname.
